EWI are supporting a major player in the transportation infrastructure sector who are seeking an experienced Systems Assurance Manager to support a large-scale Light Rail Transit project in Canada. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of all integrated LRT systems through all phases of delivery and into commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and lead the systems assurance strategy for all major subsystems including signalling, communications, power supply, and vehicles
Implement and oversee quality assurance frameworks, audits, and inspections across technical disciplines
Ensure strict compliance with relevant local and international safety and regulatory standards
Identify system-related risks and lead investigations into failures or incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective action
Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and safety teams to drive cross-functional coordination
Monitor and analyse system performance, producing detailed reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
Provide training and mentoring to internal teams on assurance and quality best practices
Qualifications:Degree in Engineering, Safety, Transportation, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems assurance, safety management, or quality assurance in a transit or rail environment
Solid understanding of systems engineering, regulatory frameworks, and risk management principles
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience conducting audits and leading investigations
Professional certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) are considered an asset
