Our client, a global leader in hydropower technology, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their expanding North American team. Role OverviewThe Project Engineer will serve as the primary technical authority within project teams, working closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Installation functions. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of technical delivery across major hydropower system components.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipManage cost, schedule, quality, and performance targets for assigned systems, including generators, turbines, penstocks, gates, and electrical systems.Define and oversee system scope from design through delivery to site.Lead design reviews, technical meetings, and manufacturing kick‑off sessions.Project CoordinationContribute to project schedules and work breakdown structures.Ensure engineering deliverables and equipment components are delivered on time and to specification.Consolidate technical input and support overall technical strategy for the project.Supplier & Stakeholder ManagementPrepare purchase requisitions and support supplier negotiations.Validate supplier production schedules and manage technical clarifications.Coordinate with customers, vendors, and subcontractors on technical requirements, change management, and non‑conformances.Documentation & ComplianceReview, assess, and approve technical documentation.Assemble and submit all required technical deliverables.Implement contingency plans with the Project Manager when issues arise.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).Experience in hydroelectricity, power‑generation equipment, or relevant design/manufacturing industries.Proven background in engineering coordination and subcontractor management.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for an experienced Chief Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision and site management for a major hydropower project in the Philippines.
In this vital leadership role, you will act as the principal engineering authority on-site, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, driving quality assurance, and ensuring strict adherence to international safety standards.
