We are looking for a Project Engineer to support major infrastructure and investment projects connected to an industrial site in Forsmark, with the position based in Stockholm and regular travel to site as required. You will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from early studies and planning through execution, commissioning and handover. Working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with agreed technical and financial objectives.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating technical interfaces, preparing and reviewing project documentation, following up schedules, costs, risks and quality, and supporting procurement and contract management activities. You will arrange and participate in meetings, track actions and decisions, identify potential deviations and help develop practical solutions. The role also involves monitoring construction and installation activities, supporting inspections and testing, and ensuring that applicable regulations, procedures and safety requirements are followed. You will be expected to communicate clearly across disciplines and maintain effective collaboration between office-based teams and site personnel.
We are seeking someone with a degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction, project management or a related technical field. Experience of working in complex industrial, infrastructure or energy projects is advantageous, as is familiarity with regulated environments, contractors and multidisciplinary project delivery. You should be structured, analytical and proactive, with the ability to manage several priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, together with professional fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish is beneficial. Experience with project planning, cost control, risk management or technical documentation will be highly valued. We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead the execution of major projects in the Forsmark–Östhammar area. In this role, you will coordinate daily site activities and ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved plans, schedules, quality standards and applicable regulations. You will act as a key link between project management, contractors, technical specialists and field personnel, helping to turn project objectives into successful delivery.
Your responsibilities will include planning and distributing work, monitoring progress, coordinating subcontractors and resolving operational issues as they arise. You will participate in site meetings, follow up on milestones, resources, materials and documentation, and contribute to risk assessments, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and security requirements, as well as reporting deviations and supporting the implementation of corrective actions. You will help maintain clear communication across multiple workstreams and provide practical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in site supervision, construction, maintenance, industrial projects or a comparable technical environment. You should be confident leading teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders, with the ability to make sound decisions in a structured and safety-conscious manner. A relevant technical education or equivalent professional experience is desirable, together with experience of working to detailed schedules, quality systems and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider project team. Fluency in Swedish and good English skills are expected. Experience from large-scale, highly regulated or safety-critical projects will be considered an advantage.
