We are seeking a Professional Engineer – Water Resources to join a multidisciplinary team delivering practical, sustainable solutions for water infrastructure and environmental challenges. This role will suit a qualified engineer with experience in hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood risk management, stormwater, drainage, water supply or related water resources disciplines. You will contribute to projects from initial investigation and concept development through to detailed design, approvals, construction support and completion.

Your responsibilities will include preparing technical reports, designs, calculations, specifications and tender documentation; undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic assessments; developing and reviewing drainage, flood mitigation and water management solutions; and using relevant modelling, mapping and design software. You will interpret technical data, assess risks, identify opportunities for improved project outcomes and ensure deliverables meet applicable legislation, standards and client requirements. The role will also involve coordinating with project managers, planners, environmental specialists, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders, as well as supporting site inspections, construction queries and quality assurance activities.

Applicants should hold a recognised degree in civil, environmental or water resources engineering and be eligible for, or already hold, professional engineering registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience in water resources engineering, strong technical writing and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modelling packages, GIS, CAD and relevant industry standards will be highly regarded. You will be a clear communicator who works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a commitment to safety, technical excellence, sustainability and continuous improvement. We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. This role will suit an organised and technically capable professional who can coordinate multiple workstreams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, risk registers, cost forecasts, and technical documentation; coordinating design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning activities; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues, manage changes, and maintain clear project communication. We are seeking an experienced Water Project Engineer to support the planning, design, delivery and review of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, consultants, regulators and other stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions are practical, compliant and delivered to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates; developing project scopes, programmes and budgets; coordinating surveys, investigations and design inputs; and monitoring progress against agreed technical, commercial, safety and environmental requirements. You will provide engineering advice during construction, respond to technical queries, assess design changes and support the resolution of project risks and issues. The role may involve site visits, inspections and attendance at project and stakeholder meetings. You will also contribute to quality assurance processes, design reviews, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in civil, environmental, water engineering or a related discipline, together with relevant experience delivering water, wastewater, drainage, treatment, pipeline or hydraulic infrastructure projects. A sound understanding of industry standards, health and safety obligations, environmental requirements and project delivery processes is essential. Experience with hydraulic modelling, design software, asset management systems or computer-aided design tools would be advantageous. You will need strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities. A collaborative approach, attention to detail and confidence working independently are also important. Professional registration or progress towards professional accreditation is desirable, as is experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and working with contractors and external stakeholders.
