We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the technical delivery of complex engineering projects from concept through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work across multidisciplinary teams, managing engineering activities, resolving technical challenges and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project engineering plans, scopes, specifications, schedules and budgets; coordinating design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities; and providing technical leadership to engineers, contractors and specialist suppliers. You will review and approve technical documentation, monitor progress against agreed milestones, identify and manage project risks, and ensure that changes are properly assessed and controlled. The role will also involve supporting tendering and estimating activities, liaising with clients and stakeholders, contributing to design reviews, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, quality procedures and health and safety requirements. You will be expected to investigate issues, recommend practical solutions and maintain clear, accurate project records and reports.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline and have substantial experience delivering engineering or capital projects in a technical, project or construction environment. Professional registration or demonstrable progress towards chartership would be advantageous. You will need strong knowledge of engineering principles, project controls, risk management and contractor coordination, together with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and schedules. Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the confidence to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative approach, commercial awareness and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement are also required. The role may involve occasional travel to project sites and meetings with clients, suppliers and delivery partners.
