We are seeking a Project Engineer – Water/Wastewater (PE) to support the planning, design, delivery, and commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will contribute to projects across treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, storage systems, and associated civil, mechanical, and electrical works. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, regulators, and clients to ensure that technical solutions are practical, compliant, cost-effective, and delivered to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing engineering designs, specifications, calculations, drawings, schedules, technical reports, and tender documentation; coordinating multidisciplinary design activities; supporting project planning, cost control, procurement, construction, and commissioning; and monitoring progress against scope, programme, budget, quality, and safety requirements. You will also attend site visits and progress meetings, provide technical guidance during construction, review contractor submissions and requests for information, assist with risk assessments and design reviews, and help resolve technical issues. Maintaining accurate project records and contributing to continuous improvement, client communications, and regulatory approvals will also be important aspects of the position.
Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in civil, environmental, water resources, or a related engineering discipline, with relevant experience delivering water or wastewater projects. Professional Engineer (PE) registration, eligibility for registration, or equivalent professional accreditation is preferred. Experience with water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic systems, pipeline design, construction methods, and applicable codes and standards will be highly valued. Strong technical writing, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
