We are seeking a dedicated Cultural Resources Monitor I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with cultural resource management regulations. Your primary duties will include identifying, documenting, and assessing archaeological sites, historic structures, and other cultural resources within designated project areas. You will work closely with project managers and environmental specialists to provide insights and recommendations that support the preservation of cultural heritage during construction or land development activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cultural resource laws and regulations, as well as experience in fieldwork related to archaeology or historic preservation. You will be expected to prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of findings, ensuring that all documentation adheres to established protocols. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with a diverse team and may be required to present findings to stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant field experience and familiarity with GPS and mapping technologies.
