Project Manager - Large Hydropower & Dams - Pakistan
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a major Hydropower and Dam development project in Pakistan. This is a senior-level opportunity for a professional with extensive international experience in large-scale hydropower and dam construction projects.
Position OverviewThe Project Manager will lead and manage the Project Consultant Team (PCT), overseeing all supervision activities related to construction and ensuring successful project delivery. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, and technical expertise across complex hydropower infrastructure projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent the Project Consultant Team (PCT) throughout the project lifecycle.Lead, organize, and manage the consultant team while coordinating all project activities.Act as "The Engineer" during the implementation of all contract packages.Maintain effective communication and coordination between local authorities, contractors, third parties, and funding institutions.Oversee the procurement and contracting of the remaining nine contract packages.Prepare, review, and submit all consultant reports and project documentation.Review and approve technical correspondence, instructions, and engineering drawings.Assess incoming documentation and assign actions to the relevant team members.Supervise office administration activities alongside the Deputy Project Manager.Develop and update staffing schedules, expenditure forecasts, and service amendments.Chair weekly progress meetings with contractors in the absence of the Resident Engineer.Review project documentation including meeting minutes, monthly progress reports, environmental reports, and monitoring & evaluation reports.Candidate RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum of 20 years' experience in Hydropower and Dam projects.Strong track record managing large-scale hydropower infrastructure developments.Previous project experience within Asia is essential.Experience working on donor-funded projects financed by organisations such as:Asian Development Bank (ADB)World BankJICAKfWPackageMobilisation: ASAP (subject to client approval)Salary: USD $15,000 - $20,000 per monthFull package including housing, travel, and expensesIf you are interested or would like further information, please send your CV in Word format along with your contact details.

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Hydroelectric Project
My client is urgent seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Large scale Hydropower project in Pakistan. Significant and practical understanding of the installation of steel linings (in particular welding) and experience in Francis type turbine is a huge benefit.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to Chief Resident Engineer the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for daily inspection of the Contractor's mechanical installation work to ensure that it complies with the designs, technical specifications and required quality standards.
You shall produce daily internal reports and contribute to the preparation of the weekly and monthly reports that are issued to the Employer.
You shall participate in the regularly scheduled progress and technical meetings with both the Employer and the Contractor and coordinate his work with the other engineering disciplines (civil and electrical) to resolve any construction interface issues etc. and assist the Employer and the Contractor in all phases of the mechanical work, including various aspects of design, construction, testing and commissioning of the Works.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also assist the Chief Resident Engineer in checking and certifying the Contractor's payment applications, processing of variations, evaluation of relevant contractor's claims connected with the mechanical works and managing design changes etc.
Qualifications:
Permanent Location: Pakistan
Salary: 12,000 USD to 14,000 USD Per Month + expat benefits including Housing, Travel and Insurances

About the Role
Our client is seeking highly qualified and experienced Resident Engineers to oversee mechanical works related to hydraulic steel structures on large-scale hydropower infrastructure projects.
These roles are based on-site in Pakistan and offer long-term engagement on technically complex and nationally significant developments.
The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising the execution of mechanical works, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and providing leadership and technical oversight throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all mechanical works related to hydraulic steel structures, including gates, penstocks, valves, and associated components.Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and international standards.Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project schedules and quality benchmarks.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and structural engineers.Review technical documentation, drawings, and method statements.Provide on-site engineering solutions and resolve technical issues as they arise.Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to project meetings and reviews.Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.Experience:Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.At least 15 years of experience supervising mechanical works, with a strong focus on hydraulic steel structures in hydropower or similar infrastructure projects.Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role as Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer on comparable projects.Additional Requirements
Strong understanding of international codes and standards related to hydraulic steel structures.Proven ability to manage contractors and ensure quality control on-site.Excellent communication and reporting skills.Willingness to work in remote project locations on a full-time basis.What's on Offer
