One of our primary clients in the onshore wind industry is seeking a freelance technician to support technical operations, primarily in an office-based role in the Netherlands. The position focuses on troubleshooting, coordination, and technical support, with limited but regular site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical troubleshooting support for operational issues, mainly from the office.
Coordinate service activities, resources, and documentation for field operations.
Act as a technical interface between office teams, field technicians, and suppliers.
Attend site locations 1-2 times per week to support diagnostics and resolution of issues.
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and work orders using internal systems.
Required Experience and Skills
Proven experience working with Senvion wind turbines, ideally in a troubleshooting or technical support capacity.
Strong technical understanding of wind turbine systems, including electrical and mechanical fault finding.
Experience using SAP for service orders, planning, or reporting.
Confident user of Office 365, particularly Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to be office-based in the Netherlands with occasional site travel.

Key Responsibilities:
Developing a detailed construction plan, including scheduling and resource allocationCoordinating the acquisition of equipment, ensuring they meet the project's specifications and quality standards.Managing the contractors by overseeing their work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing subcontractors when necessary.Implementing quality control measures to ensure that the installation of equipment items meets the required standards and specifications.Monitoring project costs and ensuring that the project stays within budget, including tracking equipment items.Overseeing project timelines and making sure that installation work is completed on time to avoid delays.Identifying and addressing potential risks and issues that could affect the construction project.Facilitating effective communication between the client, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding project progress.Maintaining thorough records of project activities, materials, and any changes or modifications to the project plan.Ensuring that the construction project adheres to all relevant building codes, permits, and legal requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the safe, efficient and successful commissioning of complex projects from late construction through to operational handover. Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders, you will develop and manage commissioning strategies that meet programme, quality, safety and performance requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical understanding, excellent organisation and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams in a demanding project environment.
Your responsibilities will include preparing commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, inspection and test plans, and completion documentation. You will coordinate system walkdowns, testing, energisation, functional checks, performance testing and final handover, ensuring that all activities are completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, legislation and industry standards. You will monitor progress, identify risks and constraints, manage interfaces between disciplines, and lead the resolution of technical issues, defects and commissioning queries. The role will also involve chairing coordination meetings, providing progress reports, reviewing contractor deliverables and ensuring that commissioning records, operating procedures and training requirements are complete and accurate.
Applicants should have significant experience managing commissioning activities within a construction, engineering, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure or similarly complex environment. A relevant technical or engineering qualification is desirable, together with a proven record of delivering projects safely and to agreed deadlines. You will need strong knowledge of commissioning principles, quality assurance, health and safety requirements, construction completion processes and handover systems. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the confidence to influence contractors and stakeholders at all levels. The ability to interpret technical documentation, manage competing priorities and work collaboratively under pressure will be critical to success.
