We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the technical delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion. In this role, you will coordinate engineering activities, manage technical interfaces, and ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, design teams, contractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing designs and technical documentation, developing project plans and engineering deliverables, monitoring technical risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, specifications, and procedures. You will provide technical guidance to engineers and project personnel, oversee design changes, support procurement and contract management, and participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. You will also prepare progress reports, contribute to project reviews, investigate technical problems, and implement effective corrective actions. A strong focus on health, safety, environmental performance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement will be essential.

To be successful, you will have a degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, along with substantial experience delivering projects in a technical or engineering environment. Professional registration or chartered status is desirable, as is experience working across multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors or external consultants. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents, with strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, and relevant engineering standards. Excellent communication, organisation, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills are required, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver practical solutions under pressure. Proficiency with relevant engineering, project management, and reporting tools would be advantageous.
