We are seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning and delivery of projects from initiation through to completion. Working closely with project managers, internal teams, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders, you will help ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is developing their project management experience and is keen to take on increasing responsibility in a collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with project plans, programmes, budgets, risk registers and progress reports; coordinating meetings and maintaining accurate records of actions and decisions; monitoring project milestones, costs, resources and deliverables; and supporting the preparation of project documentation, tenders, schedules and presentations. You will help identify potential issues and delays, escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to the implementation of effective solutions. The role will also involve coordinating communications between project stakeholders, tracking changes and approvals, supporting procurement and contract administration, and ensuring that relevant procedures, policies and regulatory requirements are followed.
The successful candidate will have experience in a project support, coordination or junior project management role, together with strong organisational and time-management skills. You should be confident working with schedules, budgets, reports and project documentation, and comfortable using standard project management and office software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships are essential. A proactive approach, problem-solving ability and willingness to learn are highly valued. A relevant qualification in project management, business, construction, engineering, information technology or a related discipline would be advantageous. This role may require the ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly across different project activities and stakeholder groups.
