Role overview
We are supporting a leading engineering consultancy on a major rail tunnel project in India and are seeking an experienced Tunnel Foreman with strong drill & blast expertise.

This is a hands‑on, site‑based role, supervising tunnel excavation activities and acting as a key interface between the Contractor, Client, and Engineering team.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and monitor tunnel excavation activities at the tunnel faceOversee drill & blast operations, excavation methods, and machinery usageMonitor work quality, programme progress, and safe construction practicesIdentify unsafe construction methods and escalate issues as requiredCoordinate closely with Site Engineers, Geologists, and discipline expertsSupport construction planning and reportingAssist with records, reporting, and billing support to the Project Manager

Experience & qualifications

Minimum 10 years total tunnelling experienceMinimum 7 years drill & blast tunnel construction experienceExperience on tunnels with finished cross‑sections ≥30 sqmExperience on continuous tunnel lengths ≥3 km (minimum 2 tunnels)Diploma / ITI / technical qualification in construction or related fieldEnglish language ability (minimum B2)

Metro Rail Chief Contract Expert - India

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking a highly experienced Contract Expert with a strong background in metro rail infrastructure projects. This senior role is responsible for supporting all commercial, contractual, and cost management activities across complex rail construction packages, supporting delivery of major transit systems in a multi‑stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

Rail Contract & Commercial Leadership

Take full accountability for contractual and commercial management across rail and urban transit project packages

Lead commercial coordination with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders across rail systems

Identify, assess, and manage commercial and contractual risks specific to rail infrastructure works

Provide strategic advice on contract administration, claims, and commercial exposure throughout the project lifecycle

Payment, Measurement & Cost Management (Rail Works)

Measure and verify completed railway works for interim and final payments, including materials and equipment

Certify interim and final payments and advise on final accounts, retention release, and bonds

Deliver value engineering and cost optimisation solutions for rail and transit assets

Prepare cost forecasts, cost disbursement plans, and detailed financial assessments of variations and claims

Monitor rail project costs and proactively advise on significant cost or scope changes

Claims, Disputes & Rail Contract Strategy

Review, assess, and prepare comprehensive reports on contractor claims related to rail works

Support negotiation and settlement of claims, with a focus on dispute avoidance

Lead contract strategy workshops addressing employer requirements, pricing risk, delivery timelines, and interfaces typical of rail projects

Programme & Schedule Support

Support planning and scheduling specialists in assessing extension of time (EOT) and disruption claims arising from railway construction activities

Records & Commercial Documentation

Maintain accurate and auditable records of quantities, executed rail works, and contractual correspondence

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education & Professional Credentials

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience

Minimum 35 years' total professional experience

At least 15 years' experience on major infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on rail or urban rail

Over 15 years of experience as a Chief Contracts Expert in Railway or Metro projects.

2+ previous Metro Projects, Ideally in East or South East Asia.

Technical & Contractual Expertise

Proven track record administering contracts under FIDIC Conditions of Contract

Strong understanding of international donor‑funded rail projects, including procurement and contract management procedures

Extensive experience managing variations, claims, and dispute avoidance on complex rail construction programmes

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary for this position will be circa $10-12,000 TAX FREE per month with an additional $3,000 per month for allowances.

A leading international consultancy is seeking a Chief Expert - System Security & Cyber Security for a prestigious High‑Speed Rail project in India.

This position is aimed at senior professionals with deep expertise in protecting complex rail‑based transit systems, overseeing cybersecurity frameworks, and securing safety‑critical operational technologies across multi‑disciplinary metro, rail, and high‑speed environments-aligned with the standards and expectations used across other expert positions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall System Security and Cyber Security strategy for the Project, covering signalling, telecom, SCADA, IT/OT networks, rolling stock interfaces, operational systems and data environments.Develop and oversee the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks, including policies, standards, procedures, hardening requirements and incident‑response mechanisms.Ensure system‑wide protection of safety‑critical, mission‑critical and operational technologies, including the assessment of potential threats, vulnerabilities and attack vectors across the MAHSR ecosystem.Supervise and manage security implementation activities during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and safety requirements.Coordinate closely with contractors, systems integrators, signalling teams, telecom teams, station systems, IT/OT suppliers, safety assessors and government/rail authorities.Review contractor submissions including cybersecurity architectures, access‑control models, network zoning, encryption strategy, intrusion detection systems, penetration‑testing plans, V&V documentation and audit trails.Oversee the preparation and execution of security validation, security testing and commissioning, ensuring readiness for operational handover.Ensure alignment with international cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443 series, ISO 27001, rail security guidelines) and best practices used across global rail transit projects.Provide expert guidance during safety and cybersecurity approvals, risk assessments and certification processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Engineering Graduate in Electronics/Computer/IT Engineering stream or equivalent.Overall 20 years of professional experience.10 years of experience specifically in implementation of System Security-including Cyber Security-in Rail‑based Transit System project.

Preferred Technical Expertise

Demonstrated experience designing and securing railway OT and IT systems, including signalling, telecom, SCADA, AFC, OCC, station systems and depot systems.Strong familiarity with cyber risk assessment, threat modelling, secure architecture design, V&V processes and lifecycle security in complex rail systems.Experience with safety and cybersecurity certification within major infrastructure or railway programmes.Exposure to high‑speed or large‑scale metro/rail environments preferred (in line with expectations from similar expert categories in the MAHSR consultancy model).

A leading international consultancy is seeking a Chief Expert - Radio System including FRMCS for a prestigious High Speed Rail project in India. This role is designed to attract world class radio/telecom specialists with deep experience in railway radio systems, GSM-R/FRMCS evolution, ETCS ready telecom architecture, and large scale rail based transit projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, management, and implementation of the Radio Communication System, including FRMCS, GSM R, LTE/5G, TETRA and mission critical telecom technologies.Oversee the radio subsystem during construction, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, EMC constraints, operational architecture, and integration with signalling, rolling stock, E&M and station systems.Manage interfaces and coordination with multidisciplinary system contractors, including signalling (ETCS Level 2), telecom, power/OHE, OCC, SCADA and cybersecurity teams.Provide expert review of system designs, technical submissions, FAT/SAT documentation, radio propagation models, spectrum usage, and system performance criteria.Ensure alignment with international railway telecom standards, including ERTMS/ETCS, 3GPP (FRMCS evolution), Cyber IEC 62443 and European interoperability frameworks.Liaise with the Client, Independent Safety Assessor, regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure smooth approvals and statutory compliance.Support installation, testing, commissioning, migration strategies and readiness for operational deployment.

Engineering Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent with overall 18 years of experience in Rail based Transit System project(s).8+ years of experience in Project Management of Telecommunication Systems during the construction phase of Rail based Transit System project(s).Strong portfolio across railway telecom disciplines such as GSM R, LTE/4G/5G, radio backbone, fibre/IP/MPLS networks, PIS/PAS, CCTV, SCADA telecom links, and mission critical radio.Preferably experience on High Speed Rail (HSR), Semi High Speed (160-250 km/h), or major metro corridors.

Technical Expertise

Proven track record delivering complex rail radio networks, ideally including migration to FRMCS, GSM R life extension or upgrade, and integration with ETCS/ATO subsystems.Familiarity with cybersecurity, RAMS, V&V processes, tender specifications, and design assurance.Ability to lead cross functional teams across multinational contractors, vendors, and authorities.

Key Responsibilities
