We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to support the planning, design, assessment and delivery of water-related infrastructure and environmental projects. This role will involve applying sound engineering principles to manage water resources, assess hydraulic and hydrological systems, and develop practical, sustainable solutions for clients and communities. You will work across a range of projects involving flood risk management, drainage, stormwater, catchments, waterways, water supply and related civil infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include preparing hydrologic and hydraulic models, undertaking flood and drainage assessments, completing technical calculations and feasibility studies, and contributing to the design of water management infrastructure. You will prepare clear technical reports, drawings, specifications and cost estimates, interpret relevant legislation and standards, and support the preparation of approvals and tender documentation. The role will also involve reviewing designs, analysing data, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing technical advice to project teams, stakeholders and clients. You may be required to coordinate investigations, site inspections and construction support activities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and environmental performance.

To be successful, you will hold a degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering and have relevant professional experience in hydrology, hydraulics, flood modelling, drainage or water infrastructure. Experience with industry-standard modelling and design software, geographic information systems and technical reporting will be highly regarded. You will have strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, sound attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. A collaborative approach, commercial awareness and a commitment to sustainable engineering outcomes are essential. Professional registration or eligibility for registration, along with a current driver’s licence, may be required. We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex water, wastewater and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. This role will suit a technically capable and commercially aware professional who can manage multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships and deliver projects safely, on time and within budget. You will take ownership of project outcomes while contributing to a collaborative environment focused on quality, innovation and sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities will include managing project scope, programmes, budgets, resources, risks and change control; coordinating design, construction and commissioning activities; and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards, environmental requirements and health and safety procedures. You will prepare and review project documentation, monitor performance against agreed objectives, and provide clear reports and updates to clients, senior stakeholders and project governance groups. The role will also involve leading procurement and contractor engagement, supporting bids and proposals, identifying opportunities for improved delivery, and resolving technical or commercial issues as they arise. You will mentor project managers and technical staff, promote consistent project management practices and help develop long-term client and supply-chain relationships.

Applicants should have substantial experience delivering water or wastewater projects, ideally within a consultancy, contractor, utility or related infrastructure environment. A strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment, networks, utilities or civil engineering projects is essential, along with proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder requirements. You will need excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills, as well as sound commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience with contract administration, financial forecasting, risk management and project controls is required. A relevant degree or professional qualification in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water engineering, project management or a related discipline is preferred. Professional membership or chartership, together with a recognised project management qualification, would be advantageous.
