Position - Wind Site Manager (night shifts)

Role Summary
Wind farm site managers, who are also known as wind energy operations managers, oversee the daily operations of wind farms. They are responsible for ensuring staff are maintaining and operating the equipment and that the wind farm is producing energy as expected. They monitor the production levels and interact with customers as part of their regular duties. Wind farm site managers are also responsible for ensuring that safety protocols are followed and that business records are properly maintained. They may also be involved with training or hiring staff for specific roles and responsibilities.

Associates degree or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferredExperience and knowledge of wind turbines operationsWill consider similar industry and/or technology such as hydraulic, rotating heavy equipment service and maintenanceSignificant experience as a leader of a field-deployed technician team with responsibility for scheduled and unscheduled maintenanceExperience managing safety programs that include LOTO, Electrical, Fall Arrest & High Angle Emergency Decent, and Confined SpacePrevious accountability for budgeting, P&L, and cost managementValid driver's license, passport and ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives Must have CSCS card and SMSTS Certificate

Role description
Ensures that company complies with local Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation, standards and Site requirements on a day to day basis. The person in this position also collaborates with contractors in order to fulfill these HSE requirements.
The HSE Advisor is responsible for supporting the Environmental, Health&Safety Manager in Projects (EMiP) in implementing the project specific HSE and Emergency management Plans and executing activities on site in line with the requirements of the product specification and IMS system.
The HSE Advisor reports functionally to the EMiP of the project and is being led on site by the Site Manager. In case of non-project related issues or escalation the Advisor reports to the team lead of the Project HSE group.
Responsibilities
The HSE Advisor is the health&safety and environmental representative on site and represents and promotes the Zero Harm Culture, being a role model for it.
Be up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the wind energy industry.Be up to date with internal HSE procedures.Be a role model, lead by example.Complete all mandatory and role specific trainings before the project.Prepare the site by printing out HSE Plan, Risk Assessments, Emergency Response plan, environmental assessments.Establish and maintain HSE notice board where you post relevant HSE related communications according to HSE Plan.Get in contact with hospitals, fire and police departments at the beginning of the project in order to establish emergency preparedness with these emergency services.Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of Safety Performance, appraisal and modification of Safe Systems of Work, including sub-contractor evaluations, monitoring, and auditing.Co-operate with t0he EMiP about updating the HSE plan and ensure that emergency preparedness plans are always up-to-date and that it is available on site.Ensure that all persons working on part of the project know the parts of the EHS plan relevant to their work and that they are continually informed of the safety and emergency preparedness programs and issues.Finalize the HSE site induction material in order to cover every feature of the project.Facilitate site HSE inductions for personnel planning to work and visit site.Perform an HSE Talk at the beginning of every work shift as part of the daily briefing / morning meeting.Monitor training records to ensure that all personnel arriving on site have the relevant training and certification.Conduct and participate in HSE inspection tours of all work on site by using Sphera inspection module.Mandatory inspections and their frequency is described by Sphera inspection planner. / HSE planTake part in coordination meetings and deliver HSE inspection reports according to HSE Plan. CoordinateHSE work with other contractors on-site. Follow up on corrective actions from inspections and coordination meetings.Monitor site conditions to ensure the construction site is at all times orderly and tidy and react quickly to remove potential sources of risk and pollution through regular attendance at all work sites (including inside Wind Turbine Generators).Complete required reports in Sphera and issue to the EMiP (and Site management as required) within the specified timeline. (Sphera incident reports shall be raised within 24 hour after the incident which also has to be reviewed within a next 24 hours)Make sure that proactive and reactive incident report ratio is above 90% on your project.Make sure number of proactive reports reached the defined number which been set at the beginning of the project, but this number has to be at least one per day on your project.Organize and support site management to complete emergency dirlls, according to emergency response minimum drill requirement.Establish a platform to gather observations from third party workers and customer.Make sure observation submitted by third party workers, customer are reviewed and submitted to Sphera.Monitor and support the implementation of Pre-Task plan and Permit to Work system.Assist in the creation of Task Risk Assessments when required and monitor to ensure that all non-routine works are carried out in accordance with the Task Risk AssessmentCollect and report safety observations, near misses, accidents, incidents and deviations from agreed standards and efficiently report through the agreed communication channels. HSE event workflows shall be processed until "review complete" status in Sphera.Support incident investigations a required by the HSE organization.Submit waste collection data into the specific Sphera moduleMonitor to ensure that corrective action identified in incident investigations are implemented on site.Stay oriented about the IMS system and the procedures that has significance to the position and to conduct the work according to the requirements in the IMS system.Make sure every site personal is aware of 10 Life Saving Rules and the possible breaches defined in regional consequence management procedure.
Profiles and Requirements
The personnel executing the Services shall have the following profiles, qualifications and skills:
Formal competencies/prerequisites
Experience of working as an HSE Advisor within the Renewables Industry or experience in other high risk industries such as Construction / Oil and Gas / Marine Operations.Internationally recognized HSE certification and qualification required. (UKIE specific - Significant knowledge of CDM / PSCS regulations and Environmental requirements relating to construction projects with relevant EHS certification and qualification (i.e. NEBOSH Construction, NVQ5, NEBOSH Diploma, BSc Hons.)Excellent level of fitness - there will be regular climbing involved in monitoring WTG work teams.IT skills: min. medium knowledge in Microsoft OfficeExperience in leading, advising and coaching people on construction site (including Subcontractors)The ability to work within a process environment, process improvement and to promote a healthy and safe working environment.Experience in working abroad within a multicultural environment.
