The successful candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, engineers, and internal stakeholders to maintain efficient project progress and resolve issues promptly.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, reviewing drawings and contract documents, coordinating site logistics, monitoring labour and material requirements, and tracking project costs and changes. You will lead regular progress meetings, prepare reports, verify subcontractor performance, review invoices and change orders, and ensure accurate project documentation. The Construction Manager will also identify risks, manage corrective actions, and communicate project updates clearly to all relevant parties. A strong commitment to site safety is essential, including enforcing safety procedures, conducting inspections, supporting incident prevention, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements.

Applicants should have proven experience managing commercial, industrial, civil, or other complex construction projects, with a solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and contract administration. A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline is preferred, together with relevant industry certifications where applicable. Strong leadership, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to read and interpret construction documents and use project management software. The role requires regular presence on active job sites, effective communication with diverse teams, and the flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally between project locations may also be required.

We are seeking a Solar Site Field Engineer to support the successful delivery, installation, commissioning, and ongoing performance of utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects. Working primarily on site, you will coordinate technical activities across construction, electrical, civil, and commissioning teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing engineering drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and technical documentation; monitoring installation quality; and providing practical engineering support to resolve site issues. You will inspect equipment and workmanship, witness testing, record non-conformances, and track corrective actions through to completion. The role will also involve coordinating with contractors, suppliers, grid representatives, and project stakeholders, preparing progress updates, maintaining accurate site records, and supporting system commissioning, performance testing, and handover. You will be expected to promote strong health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times, while identifying construction risks and recommending effective solutions.

Applicants should hold a degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in electrical, renewable energy, civil, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline, together with experience on solar, energy, electrical infrastructure, or comparable construction projects. Practical knowledge of photovoltaic systems, low- and medium-voltage equipment, testing procedures, construction quality control, and relevant industry standards is highly desirable. The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, use reporting and document-control systems, and work confidently with contractors is essential. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, and reporting skills are required, along with a proactive approach and willingness to work outdoors in changing site conditions. A valid driving licence and flexibility to travel or work at project locations may also be required.
