We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer III to lead and support complex engineering projects from initial concept through design, implementation, and closeout. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage technical deliverables, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires strong engineering judgement, effective communication, and the ability to resolve technical and operational challenges in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include developing project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, risk assessments, and execution plans; reviewing engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation; and coordinating with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. You will monitor progress against approved milestones, identify potential delays or cost impacts, and implement appropriate corrective actions. The role will also involve supporting procurement and contract activities, overseeing quality control, participating in design and safety reviews, maintaining accurate project records, and preparing clear technical reports and presentations for leadership. You may provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and contribute to the improvement of project management processes and engineering standards.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline, along with substantial experience delivering engineering or capital projects. Professional registration or eligibility for registration is desirable, as is experience with relevant industry standards, project controls, risk management, and contractor oversight. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, document management systems, scheduling tools, and standard office software is expected. The ideal candidate is organised, analytical, and confident making decisions based on sound technical and commercial judgement. You must be able to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across functions, communicate complex information clearly, and maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and ethical professional practice.
