ewi Recruitment is supporting a major rail organisation in the GCC with the appointment of a Director of Operations & Maintenance.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing Operations & Maintenance across a complex rail network, including High-Speed Rail, Freight, Metro and LRT systems.
Metro/LRT experience is highly preferred.
The RoleReporting into executive leadership, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, performance and continuous improvement of rail operations and maintenance activities across the network.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading Operations & Maintenance strategy, planning and performance managementOverseeing safe, reliable and efficient railway operationsManaging maintenance delivery across rolling stock, infrastructure and systems assetsDriving operational readiness, safety and regulatory complianceLeading Operations Control Centre activities and incident responseManaging O&M contractors, stakeholders and regulatory interfacesDeveloping policies, procedures and operational frameworksLeading large multidisciplinary teams and workforce planning initiativesSupporting budget development, risk management and business planningProviding executive-level reporting and strategic guidanceRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Transportation, Rail or a related disciplineMinimum 15 years' rail industry experienceProven experience in a senior Operations & Maintenance leadership positionStrong understanding of railway operations, maintenance and safety management systemsExperience managing large operational teams and budgetsExcellent stakeholder management and leadership skillsExperience across Metro, LRT, High-Speed Rail and/or Freight Rail environmentsPrevious GCC experience would be advantageousPackageCompetitive salaryAnnual bonusMedical insuranceEducation allowanceBusiness class flights
