We are seeking a Consultant – Water to support the delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions across a range of water-related projects. This role will involve working with clients, technical specialists and project teams to understand challenges, develop practical recommendations and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality outcomes. Projects may cover areas such as water resources, water supply, wastewater, drainage, flood risk, asset management, environmental compliance and climate resilience.

Key responsibilities will include undertaking research, data analysis and technical assessments; preparing reports, feasibility studies, business cases and client presentations; contributing to the development of strategies, designs and improvement plans; and supporting project management activities, including programme, budget, risk and quality control. You will help build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, participate in workshops and meetings, and communicate complex technical information clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. You may also be expected to support business development through proposal writing, market research and the identification of opportunities.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the water, environmental, infrastructure or engineering sector, gained in a consultancy, public sector, utility or related environment. A degree or equivalent qualification in water management, civil or environmental engineering, hydrology, geography, environmental science or a similar discipline is desirable. You should possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with relevant legislation, industry standards, modelling tools, data analysis techniques or project delivery methods would be advantageous. A proactive, commercially aware and collaborative approach is essential, together with a commitment to sustainability, professional development and delivering value for clients.
