Overview
Our client who is a specialist electrical engineering consultancy, focused on data centres and high-voltage infrastructure projects, is looking for an experienced Commercial QS.
The Commercial Quantity Surveyor provides full commercial and contractual management across EPC substation projects, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, and contract compliance from project award through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial aspects of projects from pre-contract to final accountPrepare budgets, forecasts, and CVRsManage subcontract procurement and performanceAssess payments, variations, and change controlSupport contract administration (NEC/FIDIC)Identify and mitigate commercial risksPrepare valuations, applications, and final accountsSupport reporting to senior management.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Experience in EPC, substation, or infrastructure projectsStrong contract and commercial knowledge (NEC/FIDIC)Experience managing subcontract packagesStrong cost control and forecasting expertiseExcellent analytical and negotiation skills
