EWI has partnered with an Environmental Planning group that is quickly expanding in the North California region to help them find a Senior Biologist/Project Manager for their Central Valley and Bay area projects. This position will be reporting to their Northeast Sacramento location but it's considered a work form home position to report to project areas when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing projects from small to large in any complexity
- Have an expert understanding of local biological resources and regulations
- Engage in sub-consultant management, QA/QC, scheduling, budgeting, and client engagement
- Lead biological reporting, survey reporting, and HCP's. As well as restoration/mitigation plans and other related documents for CEQA/NEPA compliance
- Lead preparation for regulatory permits like CWA Sec 404/401, ESA sec. 7, and CESA sec 2080.1/20801
- Manage agency negotiations and interface
- Lead Proposals to grow your business
- Hire, mentor, and train associate-level staff
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Biology, Ecology, or related field
- 10 plus years of experience in environmental consulting, leading projects involving biological resources and natural resources
- 5 plus years of project management in biological and natural resources
- Experience in preparing biological assessment reports for CEQA/NEPA and mitigation plans
- Worked/managed multiple concurrent projects and large complex projects in natural resources
- Strong relationships with private clientele and public agencies in related jurisdictions
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field
- Permitting for wetlands and protected species
- Track record of business development
