EWI has partnered with an Environmental firm that is quickly growing into one of the top Employee-Owned groups in California, to find a Senior CEQA/NEPA Project Manager for their Sacramento office focusing on their Northern California projects in a variety of sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track-record in leading CEQA/NEPA document preparation, coordinating environmental compliance efforts with other environmental planning staff, technical specialists, and sub-consultants. They must have a strong background in Environmental Consulting and demonstrated technical expertise in environmental impact assessment and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Prepare CEQA compliance documents and technical studies
- Align with Client expectations by keeping up with schedules, budget, and by providing technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, project requirements, and quality standards.
- Interact with clients and agencies such as: CDFW, RWQCB, and USACE.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, public hearings, and outreach initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts.
- Possess strong QA/QC skills
- Collaborate with project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental sciences, urban planning, geography, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, with a focus on CEQA/NEPA compliance
- Experience in leading proposals and managing CEQA documents
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel within the region as needed (valid driver's license required).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $120,000-$145,000 base annually
