Position: Site Manager (Onshore Wind Farm)

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the turbine installation team on a major onshore wind farm project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, erection, and assembly of wind turbines, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety objectives and cultivate a culture of safe working practices across all activities.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership, ensuring smooth coordination across the logistics, erection, and assembly of wind turbines.

  • Oversee the entire transport, erection, and assembly process, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.

  • Implement and uphold stringent quality control measures throughout the project's phases.

  • Proactively address issues or obstacles, identifying opportunities for process improvements during turbine transport, erection, and assembly.

  • Collaborate closely with the Construction Manager on contractor coordination, planning, and execution.

  • Provide technical advice and support to both employees and contractors, ensuring all activities adhere to best practices and safety standards.

  • Maintain operational oversight during the construction phase, ensuring smooth daily site operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of turbine transportation, erection, and assembly procedures.

  • Proven experience in WTG installation, with relevant qualifications.

  • A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in turbine transport, erection, and assembly, with a proven track record in managing complex projects.

  • Experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • A strong commitment to health and safety leadership, with a proven ability to drive safety performance.

  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong problem-solving attitude.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
