We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer/Project Manager to lead the planning, design, delivery and technical management of water and wastewater pipeline projects. This role will involve working across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and concept development through to detailed design, construction support, commissioning and handover. You will manage projects involving water mains, sewer networks, pumping infrastructure, rising mains, pipelines, chambers and associated civil works, ensuring that all deliverables meet client, regulatory and industry requirements.

Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations and construction documentation; developing project scopes, programmes, budgets and risk registers; coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants; managing procurement and contractor interfaces; and providing technical guidance during construction. You will monitor progress, quality, costs and change control, identify and resolve technical issues, and maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, contractors and internal teams. The successful candidate will also contribute to business development, fee proposals, client presentations and the mentoring of junior engineers.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in civil, water or environmental engineering, with substantial experience delivering water and wastewater pipeline projects. Professional registration or chartered status is desirable, along with strong knowledge of relevant design standards, health and safety obligations, environmental considerations and construction practices. Experience with hydraulic modelling, pipeline design software, project management tools and common engineering design platforms will be advantageous. You will be expected to demonstrate sound commercial awareness, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative approach to project delivery. The role may require travel to project sites and attendance at meetings with clients and delivery partners.
