We are seeking an experienced Water Mitigation Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of water damage restoration and mitigation projects from initial assessment through to completion. You will coordinate emergency response activities, manage schedules, monitor budgets, and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. This role requires strong communication skills, sound technical knowledge, and the ability to remain organised and decisive in fast-paced situations.
Key responsibilities include attending or coordinating site assessments, determining the scope of work, preparing estimates and project documentation, and developing clear plans for drying, cleaning, demolition, repair, and restoration activities. You will assign and supervise technicians and subcontractors, arrange equipment and materials, track progress, and maintain accurate records, photographs, job notes, and client updates. You will also liaise with property owners, insurers, adjusters, consultants, and other stakeholders to explain the process, manage expectations, resolve concerns, and support timely approvals. Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, industry standards, environmental procedures, and quality controls will be central to the role.
Applicants should have proven experience managing water mitigation, restoration, construction, or related property damage projects, along with a practical understanding of moisture detection, structural drying, mould prevention, and remediation procedures. Strong estimating, scheduling, financial management, and documentation skills are essential. Experience with restoration management software and relevant industry certifications would be advantageous. You should be confident leading teams, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. A valid driving licence, flexibility to respond to urgent situations, and a professional, customer-focused approach are required. This is an opportunity to take ownership of varied projects and make a direct impact on customers during challenging property emergencies.
