Tender/Commercial Manager
About the Role
As a Tender Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process by preparing competitive bids, negotiating project-related contract terms, and managing commercial and execution risks. Working closely with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Logistics, and our customers, you'll help ensure projects are commercially sound and set up for successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead contract negotiations on project management and execution topics with customers.
* Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies during the tender process.
* Prepare cost estimates for project execution, including installation, crane works, materials, equipment, and labour.
* Coordinate project schedules with planning, procurement, and logistics teams.
* Support customers and contractors with project management queries during the sales phase.
* Prepare comprehensive project handovers to the execution team.
* Build strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally throughout the sales process.
* Support bid/no-bid decisions by evaluating commercial and project risks.
* Manage and support the Project Estimator.
What You'll Bring
* 5+ years experience in tender management, contract negotiation, project management, or a similar role.
* Experience managing or supporting multi-million-dollar contracts.
* Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation skills.
* Experience in heavy construction, turnkey projects, or the renewable/wind energy sector is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Willingness to travel up to 25% within the USA, Canada, and Germany.
* Valid drivers licence and ability to obtain a passport.
