We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of structural engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. The successful candidate will manage project scope, programme, budget and resources while ensuring that all work is delivered to a high technical and professional standard. Projects may include commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure or refurbishment schemes, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities will include coordinating structural design activities, reviewing calculations, drawings and technical reports, and providing clear guidance to engineers, technicians and external consultants. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors and project stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving technical or commercial issues effectively. The role will also involve preparing fee proposals, monitoring project finances, assessing risks, supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, design standards, health and safety requirements and quality procedures. You will be expected to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and contribute to the development of project delivery processes.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in structural or civil engineering and have substantial experience delivering structural projects in a consultancy, contractor or similar environment. Professional registration, such as Chartered Engineer status, is desirable. You will need strong knowledge of structural design principles, relevant codes and construction methods, together with proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and competing priorities. Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues. Proficiency in industry-standard design, analysis and project management software is also expected.
