Site Quality Manager - Hydropower Projects (USA - Various Locations)

We are supporting multiple large-scale hydropower developments across the United States and are seeking experienced Site Quality Managers with strong exposure to hydropower equipment manufacturing and supplier quality oversight. These are long-term, site-based assignments on flagship energy infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

The Site Quality Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control activities across site execution and equipment manufacturing interfaces.

The role requires close coordination with turbine, generator, and structural component manufacturers to ensure all equipment complies fully with project specifications, technical standards, and contractual requirements prior to delivery and installation.

This is a critical position bridging factory quality processes and site installation performance on complex hydroelectric infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage the Project Quality Management System (QMS) on site

Oversee QA/QC activities across civil, structural, and electromechanical scopes

Conduct inspection and acceptance activities for structural and electromechanical components at supplier facilities

Review and validate manufacturer quality documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and inspection records

Perform component inspections and support manufacturers in meeting project quality requirements

Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), audits, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and quality reporting processes

Interface closely with site construction teams, OEMs, suppliers, and the client to ensure alignment between manufacturing quality standards and site installation requirements

Key Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a Site Quality Manager or QA/QC Manager on large hydropower or heavy infrastructure projects

Strong background working directly with hydropower equipment manufacturers (turbines, generators, gates, steel structures, penstocks, or similar)

Solid understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection protocols, and acceptance procedures

Experience conducting factory inspections and managing supplier quality programmes

Ability to work full-time on site for the duration of the project

Fluency in English required

Contract

Long-term contract (approximately 18-24 months depending on assignment)
