We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager/Engineer to lead the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to completion. This role will involve managing multidisciplinary design and construction programmes, coordinating internal teams, consultants, contractors, clients and regulatory stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards.

Responsibilities will include preparing scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules and resource plans; overseeing investigations, feasibility studies, detailed designs, technical reports, specifications and tender documentation; and providing technical leadership across water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, networks, storage and associated civil infrastructure projects. You will monitor progress, manage risks, resolve technical and commercial issues, review contractor submissions, support procurement and contract administration, and maintain clear project records and reporting. The role will also involve client liaison, business development support, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement in project delivery and technical practice.

Applicants should hold a degree in civil, environmental, water or wastewater engineering, or a closely related discipline, together with substantial experience delivering water and wastewater projects. Professional registration or chartership is desirable, as is a recognised project management qualification. You will need strong knowledge of relevant design standards, regulatory requirements, health and safety principles, environmental considerations and common forms of construction contract. Excellent communication, leadership, commercial awareness, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a complex project environment. Experience using design, project management and document control software will be advantageous.
