We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead the construction of multifamily developments from preconstruction through completion. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, schedule performance, and site coordination across complex residential projects. The successful candidate will serve as the senior field leader, directing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable building codes.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed project schedules; coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, consultants, and internal project teams; reviewing drawings and identifying potential conflicts or constructability issues; and managing site logistics, sequencing, manpower, and materials. You will lead regular coordination and progress meetings, monitor workmanship and production, oversee inspections and testing, and ensure timely resolution of field issues. The Senior Superintendent will also maintain accurate daily reports, enforce site safety policies, support budgeting and cost control efforts, track project milestones, and coordinate punch-list completion, turnover, and closeout activities. Strong communication with project managers, owners, design professionals, and trade partners is essential.
Candidates should have substantial experience supervising ground-up or major renovation multifamily construction projects, with a proven record of delivering high-quality work on schedule. A strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, plans, specifications, scheduling tools, and safety regulations is required. The ideal candidate is a decisive and collaborative leader who can anticipate challenges, manage competing priorities, and motivate diverse field teams. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent practical experience will be considered. OSHA training and relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
