We are seeking a Senior Stormwater / Water Resources Engineer to lead planning, analysis, and modelling assignments for complex infrastructure and development projects. This role will provide technical direction across stormwater management, flood risk, drainage, and water resources planning, supporting projects from early concept development through detailed design and implementation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, regulators, and stakeholders to develop practical, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic models; undertaking catchment, floodplain, drainage, and stormwater assessments; developing integrated water management strategies; and evaluating the performance of existing and proposed infrastructure. You will oversee technical investigations, define modelling methodologies, interpret results, and prepare clear reports, technical memoranda, design documentation, and presentations. The role will also involve contributing to proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules, mentoring junior engineers, reviewing deliverables for quality, and supporting the delivery of projects in accordance with relevant standards, regulations, and approval requirements.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related discipline, with substantial professional experience in stormwater, flood risk, drainage, or broader water resources projects. Strong technical capability in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, such as TUFLOW, MIKE, HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, DRAINS, or equivalent platforms, is expected. Experience with GIS, data analysis, climate resilience, nature-based solutions, and infrastructure planning will be highly regarded. Professional registration or eligibility for registration is desirable. You will bring sound judgement, strong written and verbal communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high technical standards.
