We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead and coordinate planning activities across a varied portfolio of projects. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting against integrated programmes, ensuring that key milestones, dependencies, resources and risks are clearly understood and effectively managed. You will work closely with project managers, technical teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects from initial planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include preparing detailed schedules using recognised planning software, monitoring progress against agreed baselines, analysing programme performance and identifying potential delays or opportunities for improvement. You will provide clear, timely reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders, facilitate planning workshops and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans where required. The role will also involve reviewing contractor and supplier programmes, assessing changes and extensions of time, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that planning processes are applied consistently across all workstreams.

Applicants should have substantial experience in a planning or project controls environment, ideally gained within a complex construction, infrastructure, engineering or development setting. You will have strong knowledge of programme management principles, critical path analysis, progress measurement, risk management and change control. Proficiency with planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent is essential, along with excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be confident challenging information constructively, working collaboratively with diverse teams and presenting complex programme data in a clear and accessible manner. A relevant professional qualification or membership of an appropriate industry body would be advantageous.
