We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planning Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex environmental planning projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for preparing and overseeing environmental impact assessments, planning applications, environmental management plans, screening and scoping reports, and supporting technical studies. The role will involve interpreting environmental legislation and planning policy, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and developing practical mitigation strategies. You will manage project scope, budgets, programmes, quality standards and resources, while ensuring that deliverables are accurate, commercially sound and completed to agreed deadlines. You will also coordinate input from internal specialists, consultants, regulators, local authorities and community representatives, building constructive relationships throughout the planning process.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in environmental planning, impact assessment or a related consultancy, infrastructure, development or public-sector environment. A relevant degree or professional qualification is required, together with strong knowledge of planning and environmental regulations and demonstrable experience managing complex projects. You should be confident engaging with senior stakeholders, presenting technical information clearly and producing high-quality written reports. You will bring a proven record of successfully delivering complex projects, managing competing priorities and working collaboratively with technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
