We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent/Builder to oversee the successful delivery of residential construction projects throughout Lake County. This role is responsible for coordinating activities on site, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will be confident managing multiple trades, communicating with homeowners and project stakeholders, and resolving construction issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities include supervising daily site operations from pre-construction through completion; reviewing plans, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work; coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and deliveries; and monitoring progress against project milestones. You will conduct regular quality-control inspections, identify defects or delays, and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly. The role also involves maintaining accurate site records, tracking materials and costs, confirming compliance with applicable building codes and regulations, and enforcing health and safety requirements. You will serve as a professional point of contact for clients, provide regular updates, and help ensure a positive building experience.

Applicants should have substantial experience supervising residential construction projects, with a strong understanding of building methods, sequencing, estimating, and quality standards. A relevant trade qualification, construction management background, or equivalent practical experience is preferred. You must be able to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, use construction scheduling or project-management tools, and confidently coordinate several activities at once. Strong leadership, organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with a reliable approach and close attention to detail. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel between local job sites are required.
