This role will provide technical leadership for rail infrastructure and track-related projects, ensuring that RAMS requirements are defined, managed and demonstrated throughout the full project lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering, project management, operations, safety, quality and assurance teams to deliver compliant, practical and cost-effective solutions.
Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing regional RAMS strategies, processes and plans; managing RAMS, safety assurance and technical integration activities across multiple projects; and ensuring alignment with applicable legislation, standards, customer requirements and project objectives. You will oversee hazard identification, risk assessment, safety cases, reliability analysis, maintainability assessments, availability modelling, failure mode analysis and verification and validation activities. The role will also involve reviewing technical documentation, monitoring project performance, supporting audits and independent assessments, and providing expert input during design reviews, testing, commissioning and handover.
You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, allocate resources effectively and promote a strong culture of safety, engineering excellence and continuous improvement. Building trusted relationships with clients, suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders will be essential, as will the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Applicants should have substantial experience in RAMS, systems assurance, safety engineering or a closely related discipline, ideally within rail, transportation, infrastructure or another highly regulated industry. Experience managing teams and regional projects across diverse cultural and regulatory environments, sound commercial awareness, and a willingness to travel within APAC will be advantageous.
