Rail Signalling Integration Expert (ETCS) - Philippines

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Signalling Integration Expert to support a major railway programme involving the integration of new signalling infrastructure with existing operational railway systems.

This role is ideally suited to a senior signalling professional who combines hands-on delivery experience gained with railway contractors and engineering consultancies. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership on complex signalling integration activities, ensuring the seamless operation of new and existing train control systems across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Lead signalling integration activities across major railway projects.Review and assess signalling system interfaces between existing and newly commissioned infrastructure.Support the integration of ETCS Level 2 solutions into operational railway environments.Coordinate technical activities between signalling suppliers, railway operators, contractors and consultants.Identify and mitigate interface risks during design, testing, commissioning and handover.Support systems assurance, safety approval and operational readiness processes.Review signalling designs, specifications and testing documentation.Provide expert guidance throughout project lifecycle phases including design, implementation, testing and commissioning.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

Extensive experience in railway signalling engineering.Proven ETCS Level 2 project experience.Demonstrated experience integrating signalling systems supplied by different vendors.Experience on projects where new ETCS infrastructure has been integrated with existing ETCS systems from another supplier.Strong understanding of signalling interfaces, systems integration and railway operations.Experience working within multidisciplinary railway project teams.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.

Highly Desirable

Experience gained with both: Railway contractors; and Engineering consultancies.

Experience with Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) systems.International railway project experience.Involvement in testing, commissioning, migration or operational transition of signalling systems.

We are seeking a technically strong signalling specialist who understands the practical challenges associated with integrating multiple signalling technologies within live railway environments. Candidates should have first-hand experience managing complex interfaces between existing and newly delivered train control systems and be capable of providing expert advice to clients, delivery partners and project stakeholders.
