An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chief QA/QC Expert to join a major Metro Rail infrastructure project in Manila, Philippines. Working on behalf of the end client through a leading international consultancy, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring quality assurance and quality control standards are successfully implemented across multiple high-profile rail contracts.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the region's most significant transportation projects while working alongside an international team of industry experts.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Director in overseeing all project QA/QC activities.Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of QA/QC specialists and engineers.Ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements across all project packages.Review and provide input into QA/QC plans during the tendering process.Assist the Department of Transportation (DoTR) in evaluating contractor bids from a QA/QC perspective.Monitor and assess contractors' implementation of quality management systems and project deliverables.Support Resident Engineers with inspections, audits, and compliance reviews on site.Participate in coordination meetings covering Civil Works, E&M Systems, Rolling Stock, and other project disciplines.Drive continuous quality improvement and ensure adherence to international best practices.
RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.Extensive experience in major rail, metro, railway, or large-scale infrastructure projects.Proven track record leading QA/QC functions on complex construction projects.Strong understanding of contractor management, quality assurance systems, inspections, and compliance monitoring.Experience working with international consultancy firms, government agencies, or transport authorities is highly desirable.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Previous international project experience would be advantageous.
