You will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, utilities, suppliers, landowners and delivery partners to establish clear project strategies, programmes, budgets and risk profiles.

Key responsibilities will include managing preconstruction workstreams, reviewing site feasibility and grid connection requirements, coordinating surveys and engineering studies, and overseeing the development of layouts, specifications, cost estimates and technical documentation. You will support permitting and planning activities, contribute to equipment selection and supplier evaluations, and help develop tender packages, procurement strategies and contract scopes. The role will also involve maintaining project schedules, tracking budgets, identifying and mitigating risks, managing design reviews, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will have significant experience managing the preconstruction or development of energy, infrastructure, renewables or large-scale electrical projects, with direct knowledge of BESS, power systems or related technologies highly desirable. This role will coordinate technical, commercial, and operational inputs to create accurate, competitive, and buildable project plans. You will work closely with development, engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and external partners to evaluate project feasibility, define scopes of work, manage schedules, and support successful project handover.

Key responsibilities include reviewing bid invitations, site information, designs, geotechnical reports, interconnection requirements, permits, and contract documents; identifying project risks, constraints, and value-engineering opportunities; and coordinating estimates, budgets, schedules, logistics plans, construction methodologies, and subcontractor proposals. You will manage preconstruction activities and deliverables, maintain clear communication with stakeholders, lead meetings, track action items, and ensure decisions are documented. The role will also support procurement and subcontractor engagement, review technical submissions, contribute to contract negotiations, and prepare clear presentations and recommendations for internal and external audiences. Occasional travel to project sites, client meetings, and industry events may be required.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing preconstruction, estimating, engineering, or project development activities within the solar, renewable energy, electrical, civil construction, or related infrastructure sectors. Strong knowledge of solar project delivery, construction sequencing, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and risk management is essential. A degree or equivalent professional experience in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related discipline is preferred. You should be highly organised, commercially aware, and confident interpreting technical and contractual information. Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required, along with proficiency in project management and estimating software. The ability to manage multiple deadlines, work collaboratively across disciplines, and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, accuracy, and delivery will be important.
