Project Manager - Hydropower - US West

Location: Hybrid

Are you a seasoned engineering leader passionate about renewable energy and environmental stewardship? I am partnering with a leading global engineering, environmental, and construction services consultancy to find an exceptional Hydropower Project Manager to drive their growth across the US West.

Our client is dedicated to leaving the world better than they found it. If you are looking to leverage your technical expertise on impactful dam and hydropower infrastructure while scaling a thriving client portfolio, this is your next career move.

The Opportunity

As a Hydropower Project Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams (geologists, structural, civil, hydro-mechanical, and electrical engineers) through complex, end-to-end water-to-wire projects. You will act as the crucial link between technical execution, financial management, and client relationship growth.

What You Will Do

Project Execution: Manage day-to-day delivery, budgets, schedules, and risk management for multi-faceted hydropower and dam projects.

Technical Oversight: Oversee project deliverables across the entire hydropower lifecycle-from reservoir, intake, and penstock to turbine, generator, and tailrace.

Business Development: Partner with Market Leaders and Client Relationship Managers to win new tenders, craft winning proposals, and expand regional market share.

Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate internal teams, external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure "no-surprises" project delivery.

What You Bring

Experience: 15+ years in engineering, including 10+ years as a multi-disciplined Project Manager. Strong background in dams, hydropower modernization, refurbishment, or pumped hydro is highly preferred.

Licensure: Active PE, SE, GE, PG, or PEG license in California (or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months).

System Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end hydropower systems, water-to-wire operations, and multi-disciplinary engineering coordination.

Client & Commercial Acumen: Proven success managing project financials, mitigating risk, and building long-term client relationships. FERC licensing, permitting, or plant automation experience is a strong bonus.

Why Apply?

Impactful Mission: Work alongside a global network of specialists dedicated to sustainable, future-ready infrastructure.

Balanced Flexibility: Enjoy a hybrid work culture designed for both deep collaboration and personal flexibility (3 days in-office).

Growth & Support: Access top-tier financial tools, structured escalation pathways, and high-visibility leadership opportunities within the business.
