We are seeking a Project M&A Utility-scale Associate to support the evaluation and execution of large-scale energy and infrastructure transactions. The role will focus on utility-scale renewable energy and related projects across development, construction, and operational stages. You will work closely with internal investment, commercial, technical, legal, and financial teams to assess opportunities, coordinate due diligence, and help progress transactions from initial screening through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include preparing market and project analyses, reviewing financial models, assessing project economics, and supporting valuation, structuring, and investment committee materials. You will coordinate workstreams with external advisers, lenders, investors, and counterparties, while maintaining accurate transaction trackers, risk registers, and project documentation. The position will also involve reviewing acquisition and sale materials, identifying commercial and execution risks, contributing to negotiations, and supporting the preparation of reports and presentations for senior stakeholders. You may also assist with portfolio reviews, strategic assessments, and broader business development initiatives.
Applicants should have experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, project finance, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investment, or a related field, ideally within the energy or renewables sector. A strong understanding of utility-scale power projects, transaction processes, financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and due diligence is highly desirable. You will need excellent analytical and numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, together with confidence engaging with stakeholders at different levels. A degree in finance, economics, engineering, business, or a comparable discipline is expected; relevant professional qualifications or advanced study will be advantageous.
