We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Pipe to support the successful delivery of piping projects from concept through to completion. The role will involve coordinating engineering activities, managing technical interfaces and ensuring that all piping work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and quality requirements. You will work closely with project managers, designers, procurement teams, construction personnel, subcontractors and clients to resolve issues and maintain progress throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include reviewing piping layouts, isometric drawings, material specifications and engineering documentation; coordinating design reviews and technical queries; monitoring project deliverables, budgets and schedules; and supporting procurement, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning activities. You will identify risks, track engineering changes and ensure that approved modifications are properly documented and communicated. The role will also require regular collaboration with site teams to address construction constraints, verify installation requirements and support the resolution of non-conformances. Maintaining accurate records, preparing progress reports and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives will be an important part of the position.
Applicants should have a degree or relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, piping engineering or a related discipline, together with proven experience in project engineering within industrial, infrastructure, energy, chemical, manufacturing or similar environments. Strong knowledge of piping systems, relevant codes and standards, materials, fabrication methods and installation practices is essential. Experience with engineering documentation, project controls and common design or document management systems would be advantageous. You will need excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. A proactive approach, sound technical judgement and a strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental standards are required.
