We are seeking a Project Engineer II – Water/Wastewater to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will contribute to projects from initial concept and technical evaluation through detailed design, permitting, construction support, and closeout. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, technicians, contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients to deliver practical, safe, and cost-effective solutions.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, design criteria, and cost estimates for water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection, pumping, storage, and treatment systems. You will assist with hydraulic modelling, process evaluations, equipment selection, site investigations, condition assessments, and constructability reviews. The role will also involve coordinating multidisciplinary design activities, tracking schedules and budgets, responding to technical enquiries, reviewing contractor submittals, supporting site inspections, and helping resolve construction issues. You may also provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to proposals, client presentations, and project meetings.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or a related engineering discipline, together with relevant experience in water and/or wastewater engineering. Professional registration, or progress toward professional licensure, is preferred. Experience with engineering design software, hydraulic or process modelling tools, technical specifications, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound technical judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead the delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects from concept through completion. This role will manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities will include defining project scope, developing work plans and schedules, coordinating design and construction activities, monitoring progress, managing budgets and forecasts, and maintaining clear project documentation and reporting.

The successful candidate will provide technical and project leadership across a range of water, wastewater, treatment, pumping, pipeline and related infrastructure projects. You will oversee feasibility studies, investigations, designs, permitting, procurement and construction support, while identifying and managing risks, issues, changes and opportunities. The role will involve reviewing engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations, supporting quality assurance processes, and building effective relationships with clients, regulators, utilities, contractors and internal teams. Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, regulations, design practices, and permitting requirements is expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound engineering judgement, strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively in a project-focused environment. Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings may be required.
