We are seeking a Project Engineer – Grid Modeling and Compliance to support the planning, development, and operation of modern power systems. In this role, you will lead technical studies that assess network performance, connection requirements, and compliance with applicable grid codes and regulatory standards. You will work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable engineering outcomes for renewable generation, storage, transmission, and distribution projects.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining steady-state, dynamic, short-circuit, and electromagnetic transient models using industry-standard power system analysis software. You will perform load-flow, contingency, fault-level, voltage stability, frequency response, transient stability, and power quality assessments. You will prepare technical reports, compliance submissions, study scopes, and design recommendations, while reviewing models and calculations produced by internal teams, consultants, and project partners. You will also support grid connection applications, respond to technical queries, participate in design reviews, and contribute to resolving network performance issues throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related discipline, with relevant experience in grid modeling, power system studies, or network compliance. Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution systems, inverter-based resources, protection principles, and applicable grid codes is required. Experience with tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP, or similar platforms will be highly regarded. You should be confident interpreting technical standards, managing competing priorities, and communicating complex engineering concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Professional registration or progress toward chartered status is advantageous. A proactive approach, strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a project environment are essential.
