Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire permitting process, from the preparation and submission of documentation to the acquisition of relevant permits and approvals.
Manage project schedules by defining tasks, organizing sequences, estimating resources, and setting realistic timelines.
Support the definition and coordination of technical and administrative requirements for agro-photovoltaic projects through to the Ready-to-Build (RtB) stage.
Ensure project design and engineering activities comply with internal standards and all applicable regulatory requirements during the permitting phase.
Work closely with the engineering team to gather critical inputs, accelerate permitting timelines, and assess new development opportunities.
Participate in due diligence processes and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful project acquisitions at the RtB stage.
Ensure that project closings are completed accurately and on schedule.
Lead and coordinate the handover of RtB projects to operational teams, ensuring a seamless transition and supporting timely progression to Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Manage and monitor project budgets and funding using internal reporting tools, ensuring financial commitments are met and tracking risk exposure at the developer level.
Assist cross-functional teams (including finance, engineering, EPC, and accounting) by providing inputs for business development activities and preparing documentation for RfPs and similar processes.
Contribute to the local implementation of ESG policies in line with industry best practices and applicable regulations; promptly report any concerns and engage with stakeholders as needed.
Uphold strong anti-corruption standards throughout all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
General Skills and Attributes:
Master's degree in engineering preferred; candidates with legal or business backgrounds will also be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy sector, with involvement in project development, management, execution, finance, or commercial activities.
Solid understanding of the development process for solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Italy.
Experience working with developers, utilities, distributors, and large-scale generators.
Well-established network within the energy industry is considered a strong asset.
Basic knowledge of construction practices is beneficial.
Proven ability to thrive in a matrixed organizational structure and collaborate effectively across departments.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to lead presentations and technical discussions in diverse cultural settings.
Fluency in both Italian and English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
Availability to travel throughout Italy and Spain to support stakeholder engagement and project execution.
