We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Archaeologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading archaeological projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards. Your primary duties will include conducting fieldwork, managing excavation sites, and overseeing the collection and analysis of artifacts. You will also prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and the public, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Archaeology or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in project management within the archaeological sector. Strong knowledge of archaeological field techniques and methodologies is essential, as is proficiency in data analysis software and GIS applications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical, as you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with local communities. Certification in relevant health and safety practices is preferred. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various project sites are also required.
