EWI is recruiting experienced Plant Quality Technicians to support a major manufacturing operation based in Iowa.

We are looking for quality professionals with experience in manufacturing, production quality, inspection or quality control who are interested in joining a growing US manufacturing operation.

The position will support quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring incoming materials, production activities and finished products meet required quality standards and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct incoming, in-process and final product inspections.
Verify products and components against quality standards, technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Monitor production processes and identify material, component and assembly quality issues.
Raise, document and follow up on non-conformities and quality deviations.
Maintain accurate inspection records, test results and quality documentation.
Support root-cause analysis of manufacturing and quality issues.
Assist with the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing and quality processes.
Communicate with suppliers regarding incoming material and component quality issues.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Operate and interpret measurement and inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers and electronic measuring tools.
Provide quality guidance and support to production teams when required.
Support wider quality and manufacturing activities as required.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 3 years professional experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience within heavy manufacturing, automotive, energy, engineering or industrial equipment would be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and manufacturing quality standards.
Understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and components.
Experience identifying, documenting and following up on production non-conformities.
Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical or electrical schematics.
Experience using measurement and inspection equipment.
Familiarity with quality management or ERP systems such as SAP QM would be advantageous.
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
Ability to adapt to changing production requirements and priorities.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelors degree in Quality, Engineering or another technical field preferred.
Knowledge of ISO quality systems would be advantageous.
