We are seeking an organised and technically minded Office Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and successful delivery of engineering and construction projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers and clients, you will help ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. This is a varied role suited to someone who can combine strong administrative skills with an understanding of engineering processes and project controls.
Your responsibilities will include preparing project documentation, schedules, reports, meeting minutes, progress updates and cost information. You will maintain accurate records, monitor project milestones, coordinate technical submissions and assist with the review of drawings, specifications and method statements. The role will also involve supporting procurement activities, obtaining quotations, tracking orders, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and helping to identify and resolve technical or logistical issues. You will contribute to risk assessments, quality assurance procedures, change control and health and safety compliance, ensuring that relevant information is communicated clearly to all stakeholders.
Applicants should have experience in a project engineering, engineering administration, construction coordination or similar role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure or building environment. A relevant engineering, construction or technical qualification is desirable, together with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management systems. You will need strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, dependable and confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A practical approach, sound problem-solving ability and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism are essential.
