We are seeking an LNG Originator at I, II, or Senior level to identify, develop, and execute commercial opportunities across the liquefied natural gas value chain. The role will support the origination and negotiation of LNG supply, offtake, marketing, and trading opportunities, with responsibilities tailored to experience. You will monitor global gas and LNG markets, assess supply-demand fundamentals, evaluate pricing structures, and develop commercial strategies that support long-term value creation. The position will work closely with teams across trading, finance, risk, legal, operations, and business development to progress opportunities from initial concept through execution.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with producers, utilities, traders, infrastructure providers, and other market participants; sourcing and qualifying new opportunities; preparing market analysis, transaction proposals, financial models, and investment materials; and supporting negotiations for sales, purchase, transportation, storage, regasification, and related agreements. You will contribute to portfolio optimisation, manage commercial risks, maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders. At the Senior level, you will also lead complex transactions, mentor colleagues, shape origination strategy, and represent the business in industry discussions and negotiations.
Applicants should have experience in LNG, natural gas, energy trading, commodity markets, investment banking, project development, or a closely related commercial field. Strong analytical, financial modelling, negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills are essential. A working understanding of LNG contracts, pricing mechanisms, shipping, infrastructure, market regulation, and risk management is highly desirable. The I level may suit candidates with relevant foundational experience and a strong willingness to develop; the II level requires demonstrated experience managing commercial opportunities; and the Senior level calls for a proven track record of originating and executing material energy transactions. The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving international environment, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound commercial judgement is required.
