We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of construction projects from mobilisation through completion. The successful candidate will provide strong field leadership, coordinate daily site activities, and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. This role will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, and client representatives to maintain productive relationships and achieve project objectives.
Key responsibilities include preparing and managing short-term and detailed construction schedules; coordinating subcontractor activities and site logistics; reviewing drawings, specifications, and method statements; monitoring progress and productivity; and identifying and resolving field issues before they affect cost or programme. You will lead daily coordination meetings, maintain accurate site records, track materials and equipment, support variation and change management, and contribute to project reporting. The role also requires rigorous enforcement of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements, including inspections, toolbox talks, incident prevention, and compliance with applicable legislation and project procedures. You will help ensure the site remains organised, secure, and fully prepared for inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Applicants should have substantial experience supervising construction projects, ideally within commercial, civil, industrial, infrastructure, or related environments. A relevant technical qualification, trade background, or construction management certification is desirable, along with a strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, temporary works, and quality control. You must be confident reading technical documentation, using project scheduling and reporting tools, and communicating effectively with people at all levels. Strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to remain calm and organised under pressure. A commitment to safe working practices, professional conduct, and continuous improvement is expected. The position may require travel between project locations and flexibility to work extended hours when project demands require.
