We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. The role will involve managing projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders while maintaining clear communication throughout each phase of delivery.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets, risk registers and delivery plans; monitoring progress against agreed milestones; and implementing effective controls to manage scope, cost, quality and schedule. You will prepare reports and project documentation, oversee procurement and contract administration, review designs and technical submissions, and support the resolution of construction, commercial and operational issues. The role will also require you to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, environmental requirements, health and safety procedures and client specifications. You will build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead project meetings and provide informed advice to support effective decision-making.
Applicants should have proven project management experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, civil engineering or related infrastructure sectors. A strong understanding of design development, construction delivery, commissioning and contract management is essential, along with experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. You will be confident using project management and reporting tools, interpreting technical information and managing budgets and programmes. A relevant qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related discipline is desirable, and professional certification would be advantageous. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction and completion. This role will assist with coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring that work is delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Projects may include treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, drainage systems, utilities, and other civil engineering works.
Responsibilities will include supporting the Project Manager with programme development, cost control, procurement, subcontractor coordination, risk management, and contract administration. You will help prepare progress reports, meeting agendas, project documentation, forecasts, and client updates, while maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle. The role will involve liaising with designers, consultants, site teams, suppliers, clients, and statutory stakeholders to resolve issues, coordinate interfaces, and keep works progressing. You will also contribute to reviewing construction methodologies, monitoring performance against key milestones, managing change, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, technical, and contractual requirements.
