Systems Integration Manager

EWI is supporting a Leading European consultancy firm in the search for an experienced Systems Integration Manager to lead and coordinate all systems integration activities across a large-scale rail project in the UAE.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the successful integration of all rail systems, subsystems and interfaces throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and procurement through testing, commissioning and operational handover.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the overall Systems Integration Strategy, ensuring alignment across engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, operations and maintenance teams.Lead all systems integration and interface management activities across multiple project packages and stakeholders.Establish integration methodologies, governance processes and performance metrics to monitor project-wide integration activities.Identify, manage and mitigate interface and integration risks throughout engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.Coordinate verification, validation, integration testing and system assurance activities to ensure seamless subsystem performance.Act as the focal point for systems integration, working closely with contractors, consultants, operators, authorities and package managers.Support design reviews, audits, safety reviews and compliance assessments.Oversee interface documentation, integration reports and project handover documentation.Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery, operational readiness and long-term system performance.RequirementsMinimum 15 years' experience in Systems Integration Management within the rail sector.Strong background delivering complex rail, metro, transit or high-speed rail projects.Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).Master's degree preferred.Proven experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces across rail systems, infrastructure and stakeholders.Strong understanding of testing & commissioning, systems assurance, verification & validation and interface management processes.High-Speed Rail experience would be advantageous.Currently based in the UAE or willing to relocate

The Civils / Systems Interface Manager will sit within the civils delivery team and act as the focal point for managing interfaces between civil works and rail systems. This is a delivery‑focused role, supporting design coordination, construction sequencing, and readiness through to testing and commissioning.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage interfaces between civil works and rail systems (track, power, signalling, depots, OCC/SCADA as applicable)Coordinate with civils package teams, systems contractors, and JV stakeholdersIdentify and mitigate interface risks relating to design, construction sequencing, access, and T&C readinessSupport interface planning sessions, workshops, and issue resolutionAct as a practical link between engineering, construction, and systems teamsRequirementsDegree‑qualified (Engineering or relevant technical discipline)15+ years' experience on major rail or infrastructure projectsStrong contractor or JV‑side backgroundCivils‑led profile with solid exposure to rail systems interfacesComfortable operating in a complex, multi‑stakeholder delivery environmentMiddle East experience beneficial
